Having made a solid and relatively successful start, this decade was a combination of continuing in that vein, whilst further and better understanding of the breed gave a clearer direction of what the breed should be, how to breed and how to present typically.

Although another of the many sabbaticals from exhibition was taken, the 80’s was a highly successful time. Four new champions were made including two that were named in a poll as the ‘Best Ever WHW’, including, probably the best WHW Rotella has ever had.

It was also during this time that professionally handling was taken up, having much success, making four more champions and being the breeds’ Top Handler.
